Repair

Dental Crowns

A crown, or cap, covers the whole visible part of a tooth to make it strong again.

A crown is advised when a tooth is too weak for a filling: after a root canal, when a large filling is failing, or when a tooth is cracked or badly worn. It is also used to cover a dental implant.

The tooth is shaped, an impression or digital scan is taken, and a temporary crown is fitted. The permanent crown is made to match your bite and the colour of your teeth, and fitted at the next visit.

  • Best for: a root-treated, cracked, broken or heavily filled tooth
  • Visits: usually two
  • Materials: zirconia, ceramic, or metal fused to ceramic
  • Lifespan: many years with good care and check-ups

Replace

Dental Bridges

A bridge fills a gap with a false tooth that is fixed in place, so it does not come out.

A bridge is a row of joined crowns. The teeth on either side of the gap are shaped and crowned, and they hold the false tooth between them. It is a fixed option without surgery.

Because the neighbouring teeth have to be shaped, a bridge suits gaps where those teeth already need crowns. If they are healthy and untouched, an implant is often the better choice, and your dentist will compare both with you.

  • Best for: one to three missing teeth with strong teeth on each side
  • Visits: usually two
  • No surgery: a choice when an implant is not possible or not wanted
  • Cleaning: needs a floss threader or brush under the false tooth

Replace

Dental Implants

The closest replacement to a natural tooth, and the only one that replaces the root as well.

An implant is a small titanium post placed in the jawbone where a tooth is missing. Over a few months the bone bonds to it, and a crown is then fixed on top. Neighbouring teeth are left untouched.

Implants can replace a single tooth, support a bridge for several teeth, or hold a full set of teeth in place. Before placing one we take a 3D CBCT scan to check the bone and plan the exact position. If there is not enough bone, a graft may be needed first.

  • Best for: one or more missing teeth, with healthy gums and enough bone
  • Timeline: often a few months from placement to final crown
  • Planned digitally: 3D scan, and guided placement where suitable
  • Protects the jaw: helps prevent the bone shrinking where a tooth is lost

Replace

Dentures

Removable teeth that restore chewing, speech and the shape of your face.

A partial denture fills several gaps and clips onto your remaining teeth. A complete denture replaces all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Each is made from impressions of your mouth and adjusted until it fits comfortably.

If a lower denture tends to move, two or more implants can hold it firmly in place. This implant-supported denture still comes out for cleaning but stays put while you eat and talk.

  • Best for: several or all teeth missing in a jaw
  • Visits: several, for impressions, trial fitting and adjustment
  • Getting used to it: speaking and eating feel normal within a few weeks
  • Upgrade: can be secured with implants for a firmer fit

Step by Step

How We Plan Your Treatment

Every option follows the same careful path from examination to final fit.

  1. Examination and scan

We check your teeth, gums and bite, and take X-rays. For implants, a 3D CBCT scan shows the bone in detail.

  2. Your options and estimate

We explain which options suit you, how long each takes and what each costs, so you can choose without pressure.

  3. Preparing the foundation

The tooth is shaped for a crown or bridge, or the implant is placed and left to heal. A temporary tooth protects the area.

  4. Impressions and making

Impressions or a digital scan are sent to the lab, where your crown, bridge or denture is made to match your teeth.

  5. Fitting and bite check

The final teeth are fitted and your bite is checked and adjusted until it feels natural.

Aftercare

Making Your New Teeth Last

Good daily cleaning and regular check-ups matter as much as the treatment itself.

Crowns, bridges and implants

  • Brush twice a day and clean between teeth daily.
  • Use a floss threader or small brush under a bridge and around implants.
  • Avoid biting very hard things such as ice or bones.
  • After implant surgery, eat soft food until your dentist advises.

Dentures

  • Take them out and clean them every day.
  • Remove them at night unless your dentist advises otherwise.
  • Start with soft food cut into small pieces while you adjust.
  • Come back for adjustments if a spot feels sore.

Call us if

  • A crown or bridge feels loose or comes off.
  • Your bite feels high or uneven after fitting.
  • The gum around an implant is swollen, bleeding or sore.

Common Questions

Questions About Restoring and Replacing Teeth

Implant or bridge: which is better?

An implant leaves the neighbouring teeth untouched and replaces the root, so it is often preferred when they are healthy. A bridge avoids surgery and can be quicker, and makes sense when the neighbouring teeth already need crowns. Your dentist will compare both for your mouth.

Is getting an implant painful?

The area is numbed, so you feel pressure but not pain during placement. Most people describe the soreness afterwards as milder than having a tooth removed, and it settles in a few days.

Am I too old for implants?

Age alone is rarely a barrier. What matters is your general health, healthy gums and enough bone. Conditions such as uncontrolled diabetes or heavy smoking can affect healing, so tell us about your health at the examination.

How long do crowns and bridges last?

With good cleaning and regular check-ups, they can last many years. Grinding your teeth, biting hard objects and gum disease shorten their life.

Will dentures look natural?

Modern dentures are made to suit your face, with teeth chosen for shape and shade. A trial fitting lets you see and approve them before the final set is made.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes, instalments are available for full-mouth implant treatment. We also accept UPI, cards and cashless insurance. Ask us for the details when you receive your estimate.
